| The first film in the saga finds its inspiration in Shakespeare's "Midsummer" and the fairy tale of the Armless Maiden. After having her wings violently torn from her body, Titania is confined to the grounds of her estate from fear of being hunted and slain by the harpies who inhabit the woods (the beasts that attacked her the first time). She lives trapped inside the illusions of her dreams and nightmares until her son is kidnapped by his father. When no one is able to help, she has no choice but to enter the forest, and face her greatest fear to save her child. |
